Teddy Coleman

Teddy Coleman

International Master

A native of the New York area, IM Coleman has been an avid chess player since the age of five. He struck early success by winning the K-4 Nationals in 1999 and by tying for 1st in the U12 Pan American Youth Chess Championships in Greece, France, and Spain. At age 16, he won the New York State Chess Championship. Having graduated from Harvard University in 2011, IM Coleman keeps up with his chess play while pursuing a career in finance. Due to his love of chess, his ability to play the game, and his child-friendly demeanor, Coleman has earned himself the camp nickname of “Teddy Bear”.
